WisdomNet Retreat 2014

Join us for our annual retreat program that will be held at Split Rock Resort and Golf Club between the 23^rd and the 26^th of May.  In the program we will spend time with successful community leaders and scholars, as they will explain how they have succeeded in contributing to the societies they live in. We will hear and learn from their experiences. We will have a better understanding of the needs of the societies we live in, and look for ways  to increase our engagement in every aspect of the society as Muslim Americans.

What is the cost of the program?

The cost of online registration, before May 22^nd, is $100 per family and $50 per person.

Onsite registration is $120 per family and $60 per person.

Students will get a 40% discount from the above rates.

How do I register for the program?

Click here to register online. You can also register onsite at the event starting May 23rd ,but we recommend you register online.

Where will the program be held?

The program will be held at the Split Rock Resort and Golf Center, in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. Its address is 100 Moseywood Road Lake Harmony, PA 18624. The conferences will be held at the Galleria building in the resort.

Can you tell me more about the program and its schedule?

The program will start with the Jumah prayers on Friday May 23^rd and will conclude after breakfast on Monday May 26^th.

The schedule of the program will be announced on the website on May 9^th and we will add a link to this question to provide you the schedule.  

What about lodging?

There are 3 types of lodging available in Split Rock Resort and the discounted prices for WisdomNet patrons are listed below. The conferences will be held at the Galleria and some of the lodges are further away from the conference center.

The Historic Lodge - $125 + taxes and fees  - per night (2 double bed, In the resort, 0. 2 miles from conference center - Galleria)

Slopeside Suites at the Galleria  - $158 + taxes and fees – per night (2 double bed or suite with pullout sofa, at the conference center (Galleria))

Willowbrook Suites - $188 + taxes and fees – per night (2 double bed, In the resort, 0. 2 miles from conference center - Galleria)

There is a minimum of 2 night booking required at this resort.

How do I reserve a room at the Split Rock Resort for the discounted rate?

For reservations at the Split Rock Resort please call (888) 903-0245 and ask for the WisdomNet discount. You can also book online but no discounts will be applied.

I want to attend the program but the lodging prices are too high, any help?

We have arranged a low budget hotel and you can reserve a room at the Quality Inn Pocono Resort at $79.99 (+ taxes) per night. This hotel is 8 miles from conference center - Galleria)

For reservations at the Quality Inn please call (570) 443-7271 and ask for the WisdomNet discount.

I will attend the program alone but wondering if anyone would like to share a room to cut cost?

There will be plenty of people in your situation, please send us an email at info@wisdomnet.org and we will arrange a roommate for you.

What if I want to attend for only one or two days?

The program is a three-day program and registration is required for everyone to attend. As long as you are registered you can attend the program for any period you want.

What about food?

WisdomNet will serve breakfast with a fee on the 24^th, 25^th and the 26^th of May.

WisdomNet will serve dinner on the 25^th for a fee.

No dinner will be served on the 23^rd but we might order pizza from the pizza store in the resort.

We are working on getting a BBQ setup on Sunday May 25^th and will be announcing it once we finalize the program.

No lunch will be served. There are restaurants and eateries in the resort. Please see the link below

Is childcare available?

Childcare services for children between the ages of 3-12 will be available on-site for $20 per day. Registration for childcare will be done onsite.
